Rolling mill bearings are generally used on rolling mills. Because of the harsh environment, rolling mill bearings are prone to damage. The retainer is an important part of the rolling mill bearing and plays an important role in the use and good operation of the bearing. Careless operation or improper use of tools during installation may damage the retainer. The retainer is usually made of low-carbon steel, bronze or brass and other materials. It is easy to be damaged due to improper operation or installation, and causes premature use of rolling mill bearings.

 1. The cage is deformed due to improper installation or falling of the rolling bearing. The cage is squeezed during the installation of rolling mill bearings.

 2. The tapered roller is jammed into a skewed shape. The reason is that the cage is squeezed during the installation process, or other components interfere with it during operation.

3. Improper operation during maintenance caused the beam on the cylindrical roller bearing cage to bend.

4. Serious improper operation causes deep indentation on the spherical roller bearing retainer. This damage will cause the rollers to roll poorly and slip, increase the temperature and shorten the service life.

As long as the reason for the damage to the retainer is known in advance, it can be avoided during the trial process and prolong the service life of the rolling mill bearing.
