Bearings for Mining Machinery

Bearings are widely used in mining machinery. The following are some bearing applications in mining machinery:

Spherical roller bearings are often used in equipment such as jaw crushers, impact crushers, vibrating screens, and feeders, which usually must withstand high-impact loads and vibrations.

Angular contact ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings are widely used in impact crushers.

Tapered roller bearings: Tapered roller bearings are mostly used in equipment such as grinding mills. This equipment usually needs to operate under high load and high-speed conditions, so they must choose bearings with high precision and hardness.

Sliding bearings: Sliding bearings are usually used when the impact load is large, the working speed is high, the impact and vibration are extremely large, or when the machine needs to work in water or corrosive media. The lubricating oil film of the sliding bearing can buffer and absorb vibration, improving the stability and accuracy of the equipment. In heavy-load situations, rolling bearings are prone to heat and fatigue, so sliding bearings are often used. For example, sliding bearings are widely used in heavy-duty equipment such as steel rolling mills, steam turbines, aircraft engine accessories, and mining machinery.

It should be noted that for a piece of machinery and equipment, there are advantages and disadvantages to using rolling bearings and sliding bearings, and they should be selected reasonably based on the actual engineering conditions. For example, large jaw crushers use rolling bearings because they have high transmission efficiency, are more sensitive, and are easy to maintain. However, with the improvement of rolling bearing manufacturing technology, rolling bearings are now mostly used in large jaw crushers.

• Jaw Crusher

• Work material is crushed between two opposing jaw plates. One plate opens and shuts, crushing raw material against the stationary jaw plate.

• Cone Crusher

• Material is fed into the crusher cavity and processed by the eccentric rotating action of the inner cone against the outer cone. Work can be reduced to a diameter ranging from 50 mm to 100 mm.

• Vibrating Screen

• The vibrating screen consists of a case with a shaft and housing installed inside, with springs supporting the case. The swing and rotation of the shaft is produced by the attached unbalanced weight, which generates vibration. This vibration sifts the material set on the screen on the top of the case.

• Impact Crusher

• As indicated by its name, this machine crushes ore through impact, and steadily reduces the size of the crushed particles through sharp, repeated impact with a rapidly spinning hammer, steel plate, or stick.
